Privacy Policy – TesterMandi

Welcome to TesterMandi ("we", "our", or "us"). TesterMandi is a beta testing exchange platform that helps Android developers get the 12 testers required by Google Play Console for closed testing, by swapping app testing with fellow developers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our mobile application, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using TesterMandi, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party, ever.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Display name and email address (via Google Sign-In or email/password)
Profile data provided during registration
Firebase Authentication user ID (UID)

App Listing Information

App name, package name (e.g. com.example.app), and category
App description and testing instructions you provide
App icon URL fetched from the Google Play Store
Target countries and supported languages
Tester group link (opt-in URL), if provided
App version and minimum Android level, if provided

Testing & Swap Activity

Swap requests sent and received between developers
Participation records (which apps you are testing)
Proof screenshots and descriptions submitted for daily testing
Testing window progress (days elapsed, proofs submitted)

Chat Messages

Messages exchanged between developers in swap-created chat rooms
Message timestamps and read/unread status

Device & Technical Information

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token — used only to send push notifications to your device
Installed app list queried locally on-device (only to auto-fill package details — never uploaded)

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and developer profile
To list your app and display it to other developers in the browse feed
To facilitate swap requests between developers
To create and manage chat rooms when a swap is accepted
To track testing participation, proof submissions, and 14-day testing windows
To send push notifications about swap requests, proof reviews, and new app listings
To auto-fill app details (name, icon, description) from the Google Play Store using the package name you enter
To enforce 14-day testing windows and automatically deactivate expired participations
To display in-app notification history
To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns

      We only use your data to operate and improve TesterMandi. We do not use it for advertising profiling.
    

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is shared only in these limited cases:

With Other Users (within the app)

Your display name is visible to other developers when you post an app or send a swap request
Your app listing details (name, description, icon, package name, category) are visible to all users browsing the app
Chat messages are visible only to the two participants in a swap chat room
Proof screenshots are visible to the app owner whose app you are testing

With Service Providers (infrastructure only)

Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging
Google Play Store — We fetch publicly available app metadata (name, icon, description) using your package name

Legal Disclosure

We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process
We may disclose data to protect the rights, safety, or property of TesterMandi or its users

4. Push Notifications

TesterMandi uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications. Your FCM device token is stored in our Firestore database and used exclusively to deliver notifications to your device.

Notifications we send include:

New app posted by a developer (excluding the poster themselves)
Swap request received from another developer
Swap request accepted or declined
Testing proof submitted for your app
Proof approved or rejected by the app owner
14-day testing window expiry reminders (days 7, 11, 13)
Testing window ended notifications
Chat messages from swap partners

      You can disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings. Stale or invalid FCM tokens are automatically removed from our database.
    

5. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in Google Firebase infrastructure. Firebase provides industry-standard security including:

Data encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
Data encrypted at rest on Firebase servers
Firestore security rules ensuring users can only read/write their own data
Firebase Authentication managing secure login sessions
Cloud Functions running server-side logic in a trusted environment

Data is stored in Google Firebase servers. Google's infrastructure meets SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other compliance standards. For more details, see Firebase Privacy and Security.

      While we implement strong security measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please protect your account credentials.
    

6. Data Retention

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights over your data:

Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time
Correction: You can update your display name and profile in the app settings
Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below
Portability: Contact us to request a copy of your personal data
Notification opt-out: Disable push notifications at any time via device system settings
Withdraw consent: You may stop using the app and request data deletion at any time

      To request account deletion or data export, email us at examsolvingofficial@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Request – TesterMandi". We will respond within 7 business days.
    

8. Children's Privacy

TesterMandi is intended for Android developers and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at examsolvingofficial@gmail.com and we will delete such information promptly.

9. Third-Party Services

TesterMandi uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will:

Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Send a push notification to inform active users of the change
Display a notice within the app on your next launch

Your continued use of TesterMandi after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
